What you will find here?

Anything and everything local to Calgary and Canada that allows one to truly experience the "local-ness" of one's place of living.

In Ayurveda, this is very key- this awareness and being in-sync with our own local environment is key to feeling in-sync with our earth and humanity at large!

For the casual reader, this may seem like a nice travel blog- hey, enjoy reading and all the photos- after all, the Canadian Rockies are one of world's most scenic spots, so it will be beautiful reading for sure.

What else will you find here?- tips and ideas on green living. Small ways in which one can reduce, reuse and recycle in their life to go from a "stuff oriented" way of living to a simple, minimalist and comfortable natural lifestyle.

There is a myth with people- that natural, minimalist living involves being gaunt looking, with hippie hair-style and speaking about "goofy foods". That is not the case at all... not that there is anything against being gaunt-looking and hippie hair. But, one can continue to look their natural body type (plump and chubby), be very professional looking and still be living a happy, contented natural lifestyle.

A truly Yogic-lifestyle (one that is in-sync with self, nature and life) is all about "being" and not as much about external things. Of course external factors can and do influence- BUT, it is not as important as what is within us. Also, once one understands how these external factors influence what is inside of us (Ayurvedic teachings), it will help one to work in ways- which benefits each individual while also maintaining one's own family and cultural "decorum".

In addition, while being a mystic- I very much like everyone else, have a "daily existence". Even though I try to live as not of this world- but I very much have an "in this world" existence. Like everyone else- I have a job to do, money to earn, taxes to pay and run into all the nice-ness of good people and "craziness of morons" around us! Thru learning, trial and error- I have found ways in which to deal with each interaction in my life- to bring out it's highest purpose in my life and to learn and grow from it. As much as possible I try to make it a great interaction for all involved. This site will also provide my experiences and ways that I have tired to enjoy/resolve such day-to-day scenarios.

So, this blog will also explain how such external "things" i.e. habits, behaviors and patterns affect one's well-being and what are some alternatives which can be tried to be in "one-ness" while also continuing to live a modern life.
